For this exclusive series of nude photographs, “Historical Dreams,” I embarked on an extraordinary journey through Europe. My search focused not only on unique subjects, but above all on historic locations with a distinct atmosphere: magnificent castles, elegant estates, and unique spaces where the past and present converge.
The resulting photographs combine the sensual aesthetics of the human body with the imposing architecture of historic sites.
Between Architecture, the Body, and History
My work centers on the deliberate contrast between the historical setting and the modern, self-assured staging of the nude. Monumental staircases, ancient walls, opulent halls, and ornate details become an essential part of the visual composition.
The body does not simply stand against the backdrop—it enters into a dialogue with it. Light, shadow, lines, and shapes blend together to form images that are at once elegant, sensual, and powerful.
Inspired by Helmut Newton's visual style
The series draws inspiration from Helmut Newton's iconic visual style: self-assured women, powerful compositions, clean lines, and an unmistakable blend of elegance and provocation.
My aim is not merely to imitate, but to further develop this aesthetic concept within my own photographic language from a woman’s perspective. The historic locations lend the photographs an additional dimension and create a tension between timeless beauty and modern sensuality.
